How we handle your details

Last updated: October 2026

Being Sociable is run from the Netherlands, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. This page explains in plain words what we store, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Being Sociable is an initiative of MOG Software Development, which is responsible for processing your details.

MOG Software Development, Hagelwit 17, 2718 AE Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 92419887. VAT number: NL004956466B45.

Contact: gerbert@beingsociable.com or the contact form on the coaching page.

What we store

Your account: your email address, the name you choose, your language and, if you use the forum, your username.

Your course use: which sections you've finished, any notes you write, and which courses you have access to.

Forum posts you write.

If you leave your email after the diagnostic or on the homepage: your email address, your language, the moment you agreed, the exact wording you agreed to and the page you were on. We keep that so we can show you gave consent.

If you send a coaching request: your name, email address and message.

Why we store it

Account and course data: to give you the course you signed up for (performance of a contract).

Email list: only because you ticked the box to agree (consent). Your diagnostic result is shown in full whether or not you leave an email.

Coaching requests: to answer your question (your request).

What we don't do

We don't sell your details or share them for advertising.

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The diagnostic saves your answers in your own browser so a refresh doesn't lose them. That stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

Who else handles it

The site and its database run with a hosting provider that processes data on our behalf. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign-in.

How long we keep it

Account and course data: as long as you have an account.

Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Coaching requests: as long as needed to help you, and no longer than two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or remove your details, take your consent back, or object to how we use them. You can delete your account and everything linked to it yourself, on your account page under "Delete all my data". For anything else, get in touch through the contact form on the coaching page.

If you think we handle your details wrongly, you can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
