From SAP consultant to Being Sociable: what I'm doing now
After years as an SAP consultant and software developer, I changed course. I now help people connect more easily, privately and at work, with courses and coaching.

For years I worked as an SAP consultant and software developer, mostly freelance. Now I am doing something different. I started Being Sociable: I help people connect more easily, privately and at work.
Why? Because I know how hard that can be. Small talk was hard for me. At a birthday party or a networking event I often did not know what to say. Later I learned that a lot of people feel this way, but hardly anyone talks about it.
That is strange, because you can learn to connect with people. It is not a talent you either have or lack. It is made up of small things: how you start a conversation, how you ask follow-up questions, how you respond to what someone says. Nobody teaches you this.
There is an idealistic side to it too
Now it is time to also do something for society. I see a lot of distance between people. Phones and screens take up much of our attention for eachother, and in politics people increasingly talk past each other. I want people to start talking with each other again. Nobody has to agree, but understanding each other is already a lot.
Three courses
That is why I made three practical courses: Talking with People, Conversations That Work and Conversations That Sell. No theory to memorise, but small steps you can try right away, at your own pace.
Every course starts with a free test that takes a few minutes. So you know where you stand and what to work on. There is no judgement in it, just a starting point.
Coaching for people who want more
Sometimes you need more than a course. Then you can talk to me one on one. We start with a free intro call to see what is going on and whether coaching fits. After that we look together at what suits you: how often you meet, and whether that is online or in person.
In those sessions you work on real situations from your own life. You do not have to become a different person; you just practise showing up, saying something and keeping going.
Do you work or volunteer at a non-profit or charity where people do work that matters for others? Then you can book me free of charge. Send me a message and we will see what fits.
Start today
Curious where you get stuck in conversations? Take the free social test (3 minutes). Or look at the course Talking with People. Prefer personal guidance? Read more about coaching or send me a message. I would love to hear where you get stuck.
For that first conversation, read how to start a conversation with a stranger. Do you keep putting the first step off? One small chat a day can lower the tension.
